Web Development Portfolio

SmallScreenFans.com is a new TV fansite network specialising in new and upcoming television shows. Each show's website covers the latest news and has image galleries, episode guides, forums, character profiles and more. I am responsible for all the PHP coding of the website, while Steven Waterfall is in charge of design.

The first fansite to launch was SarahConnorFans.com, covering Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The following list provides information on what sort of scripts are in place and the features of the site as a whole.

Features

• Meaningful URL's and page titles
• Integration with Invision Power Board for posting news articles
• User activity script to show how many people are currently viewing the website (time period can be changed)
• An RSS feed is available for anyone to get instant updates when a news article is posted
• Image galleries, with automatic thumbnail and mid-size versions generated on upload
• Admin panel contains everything needed to manage the sites.
• Countdown timers for the next episode

The layout is table-less and uses standards compliant xHTML and CSS. The website is fully functional across all modern browsers.
