Coding Portfolio

Gamehole Games required an admin area, user front-end, as well as third-party script integration, in order for their website to run and function properly. Custom pages also needed to be added easily, while not having to code a full-blown CMS for it. The following lists provide information on what the admins can do, and a little bit about what's there.

Administration Panel

• Adding, editing, and deleting games and flash movies, plus the ability to upload a small image for each one.
• Adding, editing, and deleting categories that games could be placed in.
• Set a featured game and movie.
• Adjust settings such as: page title, games per page, meta tags, footer HTML, and HTML for the front page.
• Statistics page showing total number of games, games played today, games played ever and so on...

User Front-end

• A system has been put in place that allows users to browse by category, and be able to watch or play the game they selected.
• Admins have the ability to add custom pages.
• A "Tell a Friend" page was made for visitors to send their friends an email about the site.

Script Integration

• The user login ran off a default installation of the Invision Power Board forum software.
• phpAdsNew was installed and implemented so the admins could display advertisements on each page.
